Rafika HAJJI
Rafika HAJJI is a Full Professor at the college of Geomatic Sciences and Surveying Engineering at the Hassan II Institute of Agronomy and Veterinary medicine in Rabat (IAV) where she serves Head of the Department of Geodesy and Topography. she obtained a degree in Surveying Engineer from IAV in 2004, and received her PhD in Science from the University of Liege in 2013 for her thesis on collaborative 3D Geographic Information Systems. Since 2021, Rafika HAJJI has been a “Collaborating Professor” at the Geoscity Lab of the university of Liege.
Rafika HAJII conducts research in various fields related to 3D geospatial information, in particular on urban digital twins, BIM, CIM, and LiDAR data segmentation. She also works in the field of 3D cadastre and the use of virtual/augmented reality techniques for the visualization and management of 3D/BIM models. Rafika HAJJI has participated in numerous research projects nationally and internationally and coordinated several Erasmus programs. She also serves as the vice chair of IEEE Morocco section Chapter/GRSS. Her core interests revolve around the developpement of urban digital twins. She seeks to drive innovation and advancement in the fields of urban planning and geospatial science by developing human centered approaches with a particular emphasize on climate change and its impact on sustainable and resilient cities, with a strong interest in advancing these fields in the context of Morocco.
